ST MARGARET'S COM￿[u￿Ty CHURCH OF SCOTLAND CONGREGATIONAL ACCOUNTS AS AT 31 DECEIMBER 2024 Trustees, Annual Report (cont} Year ended 31 December 2024 Achievements and Performance Following thc rcvicw of the nature of the Kirk Session in 2023. The Mission Action Plan was revised to take account of the changes in the shape of the Kirk Session and the various Committees and Fornn]s have been operating L5 envisage(L The Minister and Elders are operating a team ministry of leadership. oversight and Spiritual guidance in and out with the congregatio 2024 was a taxing year for the whole Church as it has sougbt nationally to put into effect its plan for action to address decline in both numb¢rs and Ministers of word and sacrdment. In St Margaret's we have tried to address the decline by actively supporting our community through the Touch Trnst and to a large extent this has been very successful. The Church is a busy place every single day of the week wbere we see people from the local cornrnunity coming in significant numbers to avail themselves of si￿lFicant and life-changing services that are on offer. This. througb the Touch Tn￿¢ is something that needs to continue and will be supported by the Kirk Session. The Touch TTUSL with a full-ttme Icadcr and part time workets. continues with its wide range of activities including the organisation of an out of school club and ha5 been bighly commended by Presbytery's Mission Director &$ one of the outstanding outreach projects in Fife. The Kirk Session has seen a decline in numbers and decided to Seek.￿eW blood" and are dclightcd that five new Elders will be ordained in January and two othcr Elders, already ordained. will be welcomed by the Kirk Session. Services have been well attended throughout the year and work with young people on a Sunday Evening continues io be well and well attended through "Let's Connect" None of the good things that go on every week in the Churcb would be possible without the goodwill and conlmittnent of so many of our members. The next stage in our development is to f￿d funding for a "link" person belween the Trnst and all that it does and the Kirk Session and Congregation and try to begin the process of "integration" between what happens duting the week and getting pcoplc into mission and discipleship.
