**What the charity does:** The McCandlish Hall Committee is dedicated to managing The McCandlish Hall as a welcoming well-maintained community hub for the village and surrounding areas.  Our mission is to provide a vibrant, accessible space where residents can come together, connect, and participate in a wide range of activities, from social gatherings and local club meetings to educational workshops, fitness classes and family celebrations.  As a rural community, Straiton relies on the hall as a central place for reducing isolation, supporting local traditions, and offering a venue for essential services and events that might otherwise be out of reach.  The Committee is committed to the halls upkeep, actively fundraising for improvements, and ensuring it remains affordable for everyone.  By adapting to the needs of our community, we strive to preserve The McCandlish Hall as a vital resource for generations to come.
