Activities

'It carries out activities or services itself'

'the prevention or relief of poverty','the advancement of education','the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage'

We support family wellbeing, empower single parents with the right advice and information, and enable parents to access training, employment and education. Our national advice and information service, and family hubs in six local areas, reach thousands of single parent families each year.    We campaign for improvements in the here and now and for structural and systemic change alongside single parents who are experts in their dual role of caregiving and providing for their children.

Objectives: To work for the preservation and protection of the good health, welfare and education and the alleviation of poverty and distress of single parent families, be they separated, divorced, unmarried or bereaved, and in particular:- (a) To provide a focus and a forum for organisations and individuals concerned with the welfare of single parent families. (b) To develop public awareness of the changing health, welfare, housing and educational needs of single parent families and such other needs as may be identified from time to time. (c) To promote and attempt to influence public policies which may affect the quality of life of single parent families. (d) To stimulate and support new ventures for the benefit of single parent families
