**What the charity does:** Comann Eachdraidh An Rubha aims to ensure that the culture and history of our area is known and celebrated among all generations.  We hold archive material and artefacts and conduct research into various aspects of our history and make the outcome of research available through exhibitions, video interviews available on You Tube, articles in our local newspaper, Facebook posts on our own page and also by working with our local school on specific projects. We hold some genealogical information and aim to respond to queries received.

**Objectives:** (a) To promote an interest in the history of the area corresponding to the Tiumpan and Aiginish Electoral Divisions of the island of Lewis (b) To collect, identify and preserve documents, artefacts, photographs and other material of historical value within the area for the benefit of the community. (c) To hold copyright for the above (d) To identify and conserve sites of historical and archeological interest within the area defined in (a) above. (e) To raise and hold funds towards the furtherance of the foregoing aims (f) To take all other lawful steps as shall be deemed necessary towards the fulfilment of the aims of the society
