Objectives and activities
The Church of Scotland is Trinitarian in doctrine, reformed in tradition and Presbyterian in polity. It exists to glorify God and to work for the advancement of Christ's kingdom throughout the world. As a national church, it acknowledges a distinctive call and duty to bring the ordinances of religion to the people in every parish of Scotland througha territorial ministry. It co-operates with other Churches in various ecumenical bodies in Scotland and beyond. Its aim is to model love and community by the way in which it works together as a congregation and by its interaction with local community and the world at large.
Achievements and Performance
Loch Tay & Glenlyon Church has now, through circumstances beyond our control, been in vacancy for several years. We are indebted to Rev. Robert Nichol, our Ordained Local Minister, for providing pastoral support and conducting worship and to dedicated volunteers, within the congregation. Through the Presbytery Mission Plan the congregation were given a new future. This is reflected in the new name, “Loch Tay & Glenlyon Church.’ It was also linked with Rannoch Church of Scotland and a Church of Scotland Minister was appointed on 7" October, this year. This has enabled enabled new initiatives to be planned and undertaken. These include:- pastoral visitations; further engagement with parish groups and school chaplaincy in both Kenmore and in Glen Lyon. A joint Bereavement Service with our linked congregation, Rannoch Church of Scotland, also took place.
The missional work of the congregation has continued through financially supporting the work of Christian Aid; Poppy Scotland; and local charities that foster support for differing age groups. Throughout the year, the Outreach Group, led by Sandra Seath, continued to engage with church members and the wider community via the Church Newsletter.
Worship takes place weekly. Until recently, worship was shared between the Fortingall Church building and Kenmore Church building. The final regular service of worship took place on Sunday 23" November in the Kenmore Church building, with weekly worship thereafter taking place in the Fortingall Church building. A highly successful Christmas Eve Service took place in the Glenlyon Church building as a means of outreach and encouragement to individuals who resided in the glen; and visitors to the area. Page 2

Receipts were £64,636.00 Payments were at £58,201.00 The market value of the Growth Fund Units at the end of 2025 was £138,666.00
Reserves policy
It is the policy of the Trustees to hold the equivalent of one year’s general expenditure in the general fund and to hold a further year’s general expenditure in the reserve fund. It is the policy of the Trustees to hold sufficient in the fabric fund to meet major items of repair and maintenance. We have sufficient funds in both the Revenue and Fabric accounts to maintain all Churches for one year.
Statement of trustees' responsibilities
Charity Law requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements, for each financial year, which showa true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and its financial activities for that period. In preparing those financial statements, the Trustees are required to:
-
— select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;
-
- make judgments and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;
-
state whether applicable accounting standards and statements of recommended practice have been followed, subject to any departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements: and
-
- prepare the financial statements on an ongoing concern basis, unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in operational existence.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records, which disclose, with reasonable accuracy, at any time, the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities and Trustee Investment Act (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
Approved by the Trustees and signed on their behalf by:
Mir. Alexander Towns, Session Clerk, Date: February 5, 2026

Report of the independent examiners to the trustees of Loch Tay and Glenlyon Church of Scotland
We report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 3ist December 2025, which are set out on pages 5 to 8.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustees Investment Act (Scotland) 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006.
The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is our responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) ( c ) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to our attention.
Basis of independent examiners’ statement
Our examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006.
An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently we do not express an audit opinion on the accounts.
Independent examiners’ statement
In the course of our examination, no matter has come to our attention:
-
1) which gives us reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements:
-
eto keep accounting records in accordance with section 44(1)(a) of the 2005 Act Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and
-
e to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, have not been met, or
Regulation9ofthe2006AccountsRegulationshavenotbeenmet,or
---
2) to which, in our opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
