Activities

'It carries out activities or services itself'

'the advancement of health','the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage'

We provide a social and health care service for older people who have multiple mental or physical health needs, such as stroke, dementia, or mobility issues, as well as those who are socially isolated or lonely. Our aim is to enhance their quality of life by offering opportunities to take part in social activities, build friendships, stay connected to the local community, and enjoy meaningful, enjoyable experiences. The key targets of our project are to ensure that more older people, particularly those living with dementia, are supported to live at home for longer and to develop stronger social relationships and better connections within their local community. By attending the Day Centre, Service Users will become less socially isolated, feel more connected, and benefit from increased confidence, improved health, and enhanced wellbeing.

Objectives: The objects of the Club are to provide aid, assistance and support for the elderly residing within the area of benefit, where such provision is in the interests of social welfare, and is made with the object of improving the conditions of life of such persons within the area by:- a) Bringing together representatives of statutory or voluntary organisations and individuals. b) making representations on behalf of old people. c) making available information to, for and on behalf of elderly people. d) encouraging training for those working with elderly people. e) promoting and running appropriate services both in the Housebound Club and the community.
