The Black Watch Regimental Trust will support the membership of The Black Watch through the provision of welfare and comradeship. It will preserve the history and heritage of the Regiment through the maintenance and improvement of its memorials, particularly its principal memorial, Balhousie Castle, together with its Museum and Archive. It will promote the history of the Regiment and its values to the widest possible audience.

Objectives: a) To support the beneficiaries by providing financial assistance on such terms as the Directors consider reasonable, to those who are in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. b) To support the beneficiaries through comradeship to support their wellbeing and mental health. c) To uphold the memory of the Regiment and its deeds, including the building and the restoring of Black Watch memorials, where this is not carried out by local authorities. Memorials may include important headstones. d) To support the beneficiaries through the promotion of their health, education, sport or cultural opportunities. e) To apply funds for the improvement, efficiency, benefit or welfare of The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland or its successor Battalions. f) The promotion by all charitable means of the qualities of courage, discipline, endurance, integrity, loyalty, respect for others, selfless commitment and a team spirit to improve the condition of young people in particular and society in general. g) To encourage the advancement of heritage and culture by informing the general public about the history and activities of The Black Watch and of the British armed services in general
