Governing Document The Association is a charitable unincorporated association, and the purposes and administration arrangements are set out in the constitution. Charitable Purposes Our purpose. as recorded in the constitution, is to provide support for paediatric pathology in the United KinBdom. Outputs: The annual General meeting wa5 held online in May 2025. This meeting also includes the review of the External Quality Assurance programme for paediatric and perinatal pathologists in the UKand Ireland. There are approximately 70 full members of BRIPPA (subject to retirements) and 6 associate members. New members are due to be confirmed at the BRIPPAAGM in May 2025. During 2025, the expenditure was for maintaining BRIPPA website and IT support for the online AGM, prize money for trainee presentations at AGM and travel bursary for trainee to attend national paediatric pathology training course In Cambridge.
The committee is to place new proposals for expenditure by the Association before the membership at the AGM in 2025. Achievements.. The association has continued throughout the year to provide advice on matters of paediatric pathology to the Royal College of Pathologists and to the Royal College of Paediatrics and child Health. It has also supplied speakers to various scientific meetings on matters of paediatric pathology. The association has 3150 been a vehicle for the dissemination of information to all members of the Paediatric Pathology Society. The association also supports and its member5 present in the Paediatric Pathology Training Days that provide training and education to specialist and general histopathology trainees in the UK. Impact- The Association has maintained the profile of paediatric pathology at the national level. Trustee Remuneration and expenses None Reserves As a result of the deficit of income over the expenditure of -£351.58 for the year, the association holds unrestricted funds of £15239.94 at the year end. This includes membership dues. We plan to spend some of this on the BRIPPA website, providlng prizes for trainee pathologists at future AGMS and plan to discuss use of the accrued monies again at the 2025 AGM. Independent examinerfs report Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of "BRIPPA" I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31" Dec 2025 which are set out on pages I to 5. Res ectlve res onsibilities of trustees and examiner The charlty's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment Iscotlandl Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts Iscotlandl Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10111 Idl of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is mv responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44111 Icl of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of inde endent examlnerfs statement My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charltles Accounts (Scotlandl Regulatlons 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records.
