Governing Document The Association is a charitable unincorporated association, and the purposes and administration arrangements are set out in the constitution. Charitable Purposes Our purpose, a5 recorded in the constitution, is to provide support for paediatric pathology In the United Kingdom. Outputs: The annual General meeting was held online in May 2024. This meeting also include5 the review of the External Quality Assurance programme for paediatric and perinatal pathologists in the UK and Ireland. There are approximately 70 full members of BRIPPA1subject to retirements) and 6 associate members. New members are due to be confirmed at the BRIPPA AGM in May 2024. During 2024, the expenditure was for maintaining BRIPPA website and IT Support for the online AGM.
The committee is to place new proposals for expenditure by the Association before the membership at the AGM in 2024. Achievements: The association has continued throughout the year to provide advice on matters of paediatric pathology to the Royal College of Pathologists and to the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. It has also supplied speakers to various scientific meetings on matters of paediatric pathology. The a55ociation has also been a vehicle for the dissemination of information to all members of the Paediatric Pathology Society. The as50ciatlon also supports and its members present in the Paediatric Pathology Training Days that provide training and education to speciallst and general hi5topathology trainees in the UK. Impact.. The A550ciation has maintained the profile of paediatric pathology at the national level. Trustee Remuneration and expenses None Reserve5 As a result of the deficit of income over the expenditure of -£479.78 for the year, the association holds unrestricted funds of £15591.52 at the year end. This includes membership dues. We plan to spend some of this on the BRIPPA website, providing prizes for trainee pathologists at future AGMS and plan to discuss use of the accrued monies again at the 2025 AGM.
