Award a Scottish Literary Studies Medal: The prize is awarded to the student with the best performance in Scottish Literature in their third or fourth year. It is presented at our Joint Annual Lecture with the English Dept of Edinburgh University. Also, Provide a Public Engagement Fund (formerly the Public Lecture Fund) whereby we offer financial support of up to £150 towards public events held in the United Kingdom that help to facilitate the Club’s stated aim ‘to advance the education of the public concerning the life and works of Sir Walter Scott’.

Objectives: The object of the Club is to advance the education of the public concerning the life and works of Sir Walter Scott to such extent and by such methods as shall be determined to be appropriate from time to time by the Council of the Club.
