Reerultment And AppolDlment of Trustees Members of the Kirk Session and the Congregational Board were the charity tNsiees up until the adopiion of Unitary Constituiion after which the Congregational Board w&4 di5501ved on 18 Sepiember 2017 in favour of the Session assuming ihe Trnsiee roley. The Kirk Session members are ihe eldern of the church and are chosen from those mernbers of the church who ar¢ considered to have the appropriatt gifts and skills. The minister, who is a member of the Kirk sessio is elected by the ¢on8re8ation and inducl¢d by Presbytrry. The congregaiions had previougly agreed that the matLse of the fomjer St John's congregation would be retained as the martst of BennhY PaTi.sh Church of Scoiland, Kirkcaldy. The SL Andtrw's Church buildin8 wus sold to the R¢d¢emed Christian Church of fjod irt D¢thr 2012. Up until the Cov1 19 lockdo1 in Mah 2020, approximately orte third of the membets on the ¢ort8re8alional roll attended worship regularly and a significant additional number support the Church by responding financially and l or atiendin8 aciivilies, or sp¢¢ial services. Sunday worship combined traditional, scripttwal conteni wlth modern pres¢nt&tion throu8h visual and Audio aids in a r¢lgxed gnd friendly atmosphere. The building was used regularly by many of our organisauon$ and a Variety of community groups for meetings and fund raising as well as local election use and a nwnber of privatt hire5 (birthday parties etcl. Our Community Caf¢ (Olive Branch) Wds launched as part of the Open Door Project to s¢rv¢ lunches, leas & coffees and is supported by members of the community, congregational members and a number of hard workin8 volunte¢r5.
