The TICC's principal objective is, in association with voluntary organisations, the local authority and inhabitants of the local area, to advance education and the provision of, or access to, recreational facilities and activities with the object of improving conditions of life, and to advance citizenship, community development and social welfare by managing the Centre as a resource and benefit of the local community.

Objectives: The objects of the Organisation shall be: 2.1 To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the districts of Newburgh. Abdie and Dunbog, Fife and their local environs (hereinafter referred to as the 'neighbourhood') without discrimination or prejudice on the grounds of gender, age. race, disability or political religious or other opinions by associating the local statutory authorities. Voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare, for recreation and other leisure-time occupation so that their conditions of life may be improved. 2.2 To establish or to secure the establishment of a Community Centre (hereinafter referred to as 'the Centre') and to maintain and manage such a Centre for activities promoted by the organisation and its constituent bodies in furtherance of these objects and as a means of achieving the above. 2.3 To give support to organisations and community groups. 2.4 To encourage and enable provision to help and educate young people through their leisure time activities to develop their spiritual. mental and physical capacities to enable them to achieve their fullest potential as responsible individuals and members of society. 2.5 To affiliate to National Associations and other Organisations whose objects shall not be inconsistent with these set out above, and 2.6 To foster a community spirit for the achievement of these and such other purposes as may by law be deemed to be charitable and take all other actions considered by the management committee (hereinafter referred to as 'committee') to be necessary or desirable in pursuance of these objects
