COLLYDEAN COMMUNITY CENTRE

Trustee’s Annual Report and Accounts for tax year ended 31*' March 2025.

Scottish Charity Number SC005127

TRUSTEES DURING 2024/25

RECRUITMENT AND APPOINTMENT OF TRUSTEES

All of the organisations’ Trustees are appointed or re-appointed by the members at our Annual General Meeting each year.

GOVERNING DOCUMENT

The organisation is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) and the purposes and administration arrangements are set out in The Constitution which was drawn up in 2015 and amended in September 2019.

CHARITABLE PURPOSE

Our purpose as recorded in our Constitution includes the provision and organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities and activities are primarily intended.

ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS

The 12 months between April 2024 and March 2025 threw up many of the same challenges that the Centre has faced over the last few years. Principally, funding of course and the recruitment and sustainment of qualified and experienced staff. We are well aware that these are challenges faced by all charities at this time and thanks to the hard work of Trustees and staff during the last year, we can say we have made the very most out of what resources we have to ensure the Centre is an attractive venue for the variety of activities demanded, and needed, by the community.

A huge variety of work has been delivered by the staff at the Centre including thriving youth programmes; busy and exciting school holiday programmes; gardening project with SAMH; making books available for the children in the community from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library; Christmas and Easter events; cooking for families; community nurse stations; games nights; tea dance - and to add to all that we are seeing a huge uptake on hall hires for parties.

With all these activities taking place, and confirmation of a 2-year National Lottery Award received at the start of the new financial year, the Centre is looking forward to another successful period as a much loved and well-used community anchor in our North Glenrothes community.

TRUSTEE REMUNERATION AND EXPENSES

The Trustees did not receive any remuneration or expenses during the year.

RESERVES

Any surplus funds over and above the amount set by our Reserves Policy will be used for the benefit of the Centre and the local community. The balance at the yearend is £125,543 of which £74,517 is restricted funds.

Approved by the Trustees and signed on their behalf

P| Chairperson.
