**What the charity does:** Set by the Scottish Rugby Union (SRU) to support rugby players facing financial hardship particularly those permanent disabled as well as those totally temporally disabled.  When a player is seriously injured their club submits a relevant form to the SRU. A doctor contacts the player and as well as their medical welfare ascertains if there is potential financial hardship. If thy think there is the players fills in a form which is assessed by the Cahir and the Independent Trustees and they make a recommendation to the other trustees.  After discussion a decision is made and the payer receive the the grant.  Where appropriate the regional trustees contact the player's club and  check on their welfare.
