dated 11 January. 2000. For the purFO58S of tharities law. the members ol the Vestry are
the Charity Twstees of the Church. The Church is a m8mb8r congregation of th8 Dioc888 of
Ab8rd88n and O￿n6Y in the S¢ottish Epi5Gopal Church. The Bishop of Aberdeen and
Orkney has pastoral oversight of all coryr8gations wlthin the Diolzse. and all Congregat￿)n6
are subj8¢t to the Code of Canon5 of the Scottish Episcopal Church. The memb8rs of the
Vestry are elected at the Annual General Meeting. They nomalty hold office for three years.
and are elwible lor re-electh)n after that p8riod of time. The Lay Rep￿Sen￿tiVe who
represents the church at Diocesan Synod is 818cted annually by the lay members of the
rxin9￿gatIOn al the Annual General Meeting. The Ve51ry Secretary and Treasurer are
appointed by the V8Stry. The Priest-in-tharge is appK)inted by the Bishop of th8 DDcese in
¢onsuMation with the Vesty.
The Priest-in-charge is responsible for the Spiritual affairs of the GhurGh for matters
liturgical. 11 is the duty of the V8sty to manage temporal affalrs ol the ¢ongregats"ons.

prayer and pastoral care.
In carrying out its obj8cIiv8S the Vestry depends UPDn the Contribution of many volunteer5
from the eongregation. A¢tivitie5 carried out include contributions to the eonducl of worship,
floral decoration of thè ¢hur¢h. Maintenan￿ of premises, a var￿ty of pastoral and social
8Ctivilies and contributions lo the e¢umeni¢al and Gwic lrfe of the local community. Regular
Sunday and weekday church senrice$ ar8 held, with additional seTrice5 for important day5 in
the Church'5 calendar.
Appea15 are organised for funds for ch8Atable caus8$ that provitje benefits to disadvantaged
indiv￿ua1S and eommuniles in S¢oJand. the rest of the United Kingdom and ov8rseas.

The main actwity of the Church during the year was the Parf$h Eu¢harist on Sunday moming
at 11..30am. An 8arlier said Èucharist is held rnost Sundays al 8am and th8 r8gular

A shortened version of the traditional Nine Lessons and Carols was held on Sunday 22nd
De￿rnber 2024, folbw8d by refreshments in the Church Hall. Mernbers of the congregation
met for lU￿h on Sutyjay 12 January 2025. in a local hotel.
Th8 priest in charge and members ol the congregation tcok part in th8 Hoty Week
8cumenical Communion 8reakfasts in the North Kirk.
There continue to be a small number of hall l¥t$ for comrnunity use during th8 y88r. The hall
was used by local charities during th8 Kr8cker on 16 November.

Re3ulls for the y88r
The General Fund had a surplus of £1,865 in 2024125. after transferring investrnent incoffle
frorn endowments of £896 to support th8 Cost of ministry. However. the payment ol stipend
for September 2025 was made on l Octob8r 2025 and had payment been on lime tt)e
outtum would have been a defiat of £632. Congr8gational giwng is £7,720 m(Ke than Sn
2023124, r8fKgCting a number of generous grfts during the year and also incom8 lax
covered relating lo 2023124. Grant fundiNJ or t3,000 was given by the Dr John Anderson
Trust. Hall lel$ gen$rated ￿1012024.. £17518nd funds of £70212024.. £8401 were raised by
number of initKqtiV88.
CO￿ expend￿Ure de¢rea5ed by £3,631 compar8d to 2023124. The decrsase is largely due
to th8 delay in paying stipend but also reflects a decreas8 in the cost of h8aling and lighting
the church. Th8 General Fund stands at £277 ￿$h in bank plus investments of £1,633.
There are three hypoth¥caled funds which are included in Unr8Strict8d Funds.. th8 Repairs
and Maintenanc8 Fund is lo be used to fund the programme of works recommended in the

quinquennial In$pe¢tion. The￿ wa5 no expenditure duriThJ 2023124 and baLqnce stsnds
al £4,035. A donation made to the church in 2019￿1 was set aside lo purchase Iwo sets of
new vestments gnd lo renovate the church sacristy. The v8slm&nts have been purchased
and the sacristy carpet replaced in previou5 years and there has been no further
exp8nditure. The balan￿ on th15 fund is £2.253. The Paying Office¢s account had a
balance of £1,205 at the y8ar end.
There is a balance of £535 on the Property Fund, which is a re51rict8d fund. Ther8 ar8 Still
few task5 outstsnding Ipainterwork and shelving) to compl8t&ty finish the hall renovation.
I Saints has a bank balan￿ gt the year end of £7,137 plu5 funds of £1,205 held in Sl
John's bank account. being funds where St John5 is acting as an agent of All Saints

ChurGh Unil Tru51 Pool worth £31.116 as 8130 S8p18mb8r 2025.

My exarninabon is carried out In ao))rdance wth R8gulation 11 of the Charitiss Accounts
(SQLt￿nd) regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the aecounling records
kept by the Gharily and a comparison of the 8¢¢ounts presenta with these records. 11 also
include5 consideration of any unusual items or disc105ur$s in the acGounts, and seeks
explanation from the trustees con￿MIng any such matters. The procedures undertaken do
not provide all Ihe $vid8nc8 that would be required in an audit, and ¢onsequently I do rK)t
expres5 an audit opinion on th8 vw given by the accounts.
