Cavers & Kirkton Parish Church exists to translate the aims and objectives of the Church of Scotland into the life of its membership and Parish through the provision of regular worship, pastoral care and social activity, whereby it seeks the furtherance of Christian knowledge, faith, experience, fellowship, service and love. As the sole surviving meeting place in the locality available to all parish residents it is alert to its role in fostering a sense of community among those who live scattered throughout the area. There is one service of public worship held in Cavers Church each Sunday, in which provision is made for the celebration of Holy Communion two times a year and the administering of the Sacrament of Baptism where an appropriate need arises. The Kirk of Session keeps in contact with Members and adherents via letters, newsletters and phone calls to encourage a continued link to the church and the congregation.
