Reference and administration details
Structure, governance and management
The Trust was set up by Ralston Playgroup and was recognised as a Scottish charity with effect from 8" March 1977. The Trust is administered in accordance with the terms of the Trust Deed.
New trustees were appointed this year. Appointment and removal is in accordance with the Trust Deed which requires that appointment is approved by unanimous agreement of the existing trustees and removal of any trustee by the unanimous agreement of the others, usually, but not always, at the Annual General Meeting.
Objectives and activities
The aim of the Playgroup is to advance the care and education of preschool children so that they may take a constructive place in the /[community,][and][also][the][education][of][ their][parents][ and][other][adults,] children and teenagers, and in the furtherance of that aim.
