**Purposes:** 'the advancement of citizenship or community development','the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science','the advancement of environmental protection or improvement'

**What the charity does:** To keep a watch on the amenities in the area and monitor any developments both positive and negative.  We run a community library as the council library was closed. We have coffee mornings to generate funds for new books, electricity and rental.

**Beneficiaries:** 'No specific group, or for the benefit of the community'

**Objectives:** To promote and encourage the following objects by charitable means, but not otherwise (a) To stimulate public interest in, and care for, the beauty, history and character of the district and its surroundings, being that peninsula bounded on the West by Loch Long and on the East by the Gareloch including the communities of Portincaple and Coulport but excluding the community of Garelochhead. (b) To encourage the preservation, development and improvement of features of general public amenity or historic interest and scrutinise all industrial and other development in the area. (c) To pursue these ends by means of meetings, exhibitions, lectures, publications, conferences and publicity and the promotion of schemes of a charitable nature.
