The Society aims to assist in cases of financial hardship experienced by individuals unable to work due to incurable illness. The charity grants annuities in accordance with the objectives of the Society in order to achieve these aims by supporting a number of annuitants. The General Fund is used to pay annuities to persons who are no longer able to work on account of having an incurable illness. The Dunlop Fund is available for the same purpose but with priority to those suffering from cancer
