towards incorporation into the Local ELumenical Partnership with our neighbours in Grahamston.

Basis of Preparation
The financial statements have b¢en prepared in a¢cordatEce with Accounting and Reporting b) Charities.. Statement of
Recommended Practice appli¢able to charities pr¢paring thcir accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting
Standards applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS102) (effective l January 2019), the Charities artd Truslee
Iiivestment (Scoiland) Act 2005 and the Ch2rities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended).
Fund Aecollnting
Funds are classified as either restricted funds or unrestrict¢d fund8 defined as follows.
Reslri¢ted Funds are ￿ndS subject to specifie requirements as to th¢ir use M,hich tnay be declared by the donor or with
their authority or creaied through legal processes. but still within the wider objects of the charity.
Endoil'ment funds are funds which have been given on the condition that the original ￿pital sum is not reduced, but the
income th¢r¢ from is used for th¢ purpose defined in accordance with the objccts of the charity.
Unr¢siricted funds are expendable at the discreTion ofihe trustees in furtherance of the objects of the charity. If parts of

Expenditure is recognised on an accruals basis as the liability is incurred.
Charitable expenditure comprises these costs incurred by the Chariry in the delivery of its activities and services for its

necessary to supp)rt them.

Tangible Fixed Assets

halls and tnanse, vested in the Church of Scoiland General Trnstees. No consideration is payable for the use of these
assets. Expenditure incurred on the repair and maintenance of these assets is charged as resource5 expended in the
Statement of finattcial activilies in the periiKI in which the liability arises.
InTrestments
Fixed asset investments are stated at market Tralue al the balance sheet date. Unrealised gains and losses represent the
differ¢nc¢ between th¢ value at the beginning and end of ihe financial year or, if purchased in the year, the
difference between cost and market value at the end of the >'ear. Realised gairks and losses rcpresent the difference
between the pFoc¢¢ds on disposal and the market valu¢ at th¢ Start of the year or ci)st if purchas￿ in the year.
Taxation
Bainsford Parish Church of Scotland, Falkirk is recognised as a charity forthe purpose5 of applicable t&xation legislation
and is iherefore not subject to taxatiott on its charitable activitt¢s. The charity is not regisiered for VAT and resources
expended therefore tnclude irrecovetable input VAT.

All Church of Scotland congregations contribute tothe National Stipend Fund which bears the costs of all rninisters, stipends
and employevs contribuiions for national insurdnce. pension and hou5Èng and loan fund. Ministers. stipends are paid in
accordance M'ith the nation81 stipend scale. which is ￿lated 10 years of setvice. For the year under review, the minimuTn
