Over this past yeai meetings have been held regularly in person in the church buildiiig and in The Well. We have a150 trialled holding the quarterly member5, meetings on Sunday5 following the Sunday mornin8 service, rather thon on ihe normal Wednesday evenings, lirstly ovei the winter months which 8reatly improved attendance. and secondly fof the coming year lo see whether ihat IS Sustained. The church purchased 71 High Street. Hèwlck in 2014 and this wa5 leased to Hawick Community Calé, a separale charity (No-. SC0445591 set up by ihe church to enable mar8inalised, unemployed people io gain WOTk experience 4)nd move on inio lurther education or employment. In January 2023 the café ceased trading arid ihe ihurcli was tible to sell the buildlng, receivinB the proceeds of thal sale in Au8usI 2023. 4. Achlevements and erformanc Ministry Team.. During the year, our pastor•1 who jolned us in september 2017, has led the church faithfullv proclaiming the gospel and rnciiniiiinine pasioral care of those in need. Our Children & Women's worker, 15 employed port-time and has continued lo build up the H8C Kid5 team and 'Malnly Play, a Bruup loi parents and toddlers, whlch meets weekly during term lime. In addition She has continued work amongst the ladies in the chuith with 'Women in the Word, meeting weeklv, again durln8 term time and holdlng Ladles. Afternoon Teas approxlmately once a tem) to which female Irlends who are not nom)ally church-goers, can be invited. We have established a strong connection with 'Wiggly Worms, a local nursery group and they use the church building for big occasions and have commenced a monthly seniors café in the church building as well, called Wi88ly Wednesdays. The refurbished churcli buildin8 now forms a versalile spate and has been well-used by 8roup5 both within and outwith the church. In January 2024 our C.hiJrch Administrator joined the staft team. joins the 5laff team on a part-time flexible basis16-10 hour5 per weekl. Already in just a few months she has been able to deal with a number ol administrative issues whith were delaying ministry in other areas. has been a valuable and needed addition to our team. Change of legal status: During the year we have been moving towards the change from an Unincorporated Voluntary Association IUVAI to a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation ISCIOI.
