Objectives: 3. CHARITABLE PURPOSES and PRINCIPLES The purposes of RBLS are the advancement of education through Remembrance. the relief of those in need through Benevolence. and the promotion of community development through Comradeship. all as follows: 3.1 Remembrance - perpetuating the memory of all service and civilian personnel who have fallen in service of their Country and to commemorate those who fell, of all faiths, races, and creeds. 3.2 Benevolence – to reduce the financial need of veterans’ including their dependents, on a needs led basis. 3.3 Comradeship – including wellbeing and welfare within the veteran and wider community, increasing morale, by holding social events to help prevent isolation. 3.4 In principle RBLS recognises all who have served the Crown and their dependents as one family regardless of service, unit, rank, length of service, nationality, gender, race, faith or social status.
