Governing Document
The ChuT¢h is administered as a wngregation in accordance with the jaw and practice of the
Refomied Presbyterian Church of Scotland.
ReernitmeDt and Appointment of Trnstees
Th¢ Kirk Session members arc the eldeTS of the church and are chosen from those members of the
church who are considered to have the appropriaie gifts and skills. The minister. who is also a
member of the Kirk Session, is ele¢t¢d by the congregation and inducted by Presbytery.

The Kirk Session. which is moderated by the minister (or Interim Moderator). meets regularly in the
Course of the year and is respo￿]ble for both spiritual and tempora] matters within the church
Objectlves and Aetlvltl
The R¢fomied Presbyt¢rian Church exists lo glorify God and to work for the advan¢¢ment of
Christ's Kingdom. Worship is held each Sunday throughout the year.

The Churth Co-operates with other Churches and various e¢urn¢nical bodies in Scot18nd and
beyond.
Financlal Revlew
The principle source of in¢ome is through the weekly offering scheme.
The deficit for the yeaT was £34,774 (2023 Surplus- £13,913)
Reservu Policy
Ai the year end the Church held Unr￿trIcted funds of £62.514. The general fund will be used for
administiation purwses.

The memt¢rs of the K￿k Session mus¢ prepare fi￿A￿la1 statements which give suifi¢ient detsil to
enable an opprecialinn of the transactions of the Church during the fin4n¢ial j'ear. The mcmb¢rs of
the Kirk Session are respO￿8]ble for kwping prO￿r accounting rtcords wlii¥li, un JY4u¢sI must
reflect the financial positiom of the Church ai time. This must be done to ensure that the
financial statements Comply wilh the Charities and I rustee tnvestment (Scixland) Act 2(X)5, the
Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. They are also resp)nsible for safeguarding the
assets of the Church and must take re&sonablc sleps for the preventKJn and/or detection of fraud and
other irregu]atities.
