Type of governing document
The School fund is a charitable unincorporated Fund and the purposes
and adminislralion arrangements are set out in our o)nslilulion.
Trustee recruitment and appointment
Trustees are appointed from each faculty. having been selected by faculty
members Standing appointments are Rector, Depute, School Support
Manager and member of the finance department who also represents
school support staff.
Objectives and activities
Charltable purposes
Our purpose, as recorded in our constitution, is to support the education
provided by the Academy. This is done by providing additional funds lo
subsidise school activities such as Curricular and Extra Curricular trips, to
purchase additional equipment, lo improve the environment of the school
and lo support other designated chartties chosen by the pupils and staff.
Summary of the main activities
In relation to these objgcts
The majority of our income related lo pupil payments for their school trips,
however there are also various fundraising events such as Dances,
School shows elc. as well as donattons from our Parent Council and other
charitable bodies. The funds enable pupils lo participate in trips, lo
represent the school in sporting, debating and other events and contribute
1 to the cost of a week of special activities for all pupils in the lower school.
11 also helps lo improve the physical environment through improvement to
the grounds and recreational areas.

Summary of the main achievements of
the charity during the financial period
We are delighted that school life has fully returned to normal since Covid,
with pupils participating in local and residential school trips lo London and
Ypres for a Battlefields trip. School Shows, Dances, and Sporting Fixtures
have lully Tesumed and pupils have benefited greatly from these extra-
curricular and social opportunities. We were also very grateful lo rèceive a
donation for an outdoor canopy. This project was completed and is being
well ulilised by our young people in inclement weather.
We are incredibly proud of our pupils who have managed lo raise over
£5000 for donation lo their chosen charities - CR Y, Cancer Research UK.
Save the Children, SMILE of Arran and Unicef.
