**What the charity does:** The Dove Centre is a social day centre whose aims are to enable older people to remain as independant as they can be for longer, through a variety of mentally stimulating and physical activities and classes, freshly made meals daily and fully accessible transport to and from the centre. We are partially funded through Edinburgh council but make our own income through providing meals to other day centres without cooking facilities and our community transport project which provides fully accessible transport to other not for profit organisations in the West of Edinburgh.

**Objectives:** 4 The organisation&#x27;s purposes are for the benefit of older and disabled people of west Edinburgh and environs covering the Pentland and South West Neighbourhood Partnership areas by:  4.1 The provision of care and recreational facilities and activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended  4.2 To advancement of community development and citizenship of older and disabled people. and  4.3 The promotion of the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantages. The provision of fully accessible transport to all older and disabled people to allow them access to care services.
