Goveming Document: the charity is an unincorporated association, governed by its
constitution, last Icvised in 2021.
Recruittnent and removal of trustees are in accordance with the constitution and
require unanimous agreeinent of existing trustees and coinmittee.
Charitable purposes: the main objective is to promote the welfare of senior citizens in
ternis of providing a neeling place and associated activities.
The main activity is the tearoom. open 6 days a week and staffed by volunteers. Te
coffe¢, cakes etc are provided at very reasonable prices. Other activities include
weekly Keep Fit, Line DarJcin& Carpet Bowls, Craft classes, also occasional concerts,
bingo, beetle drives and quizzes.
Achievements during the financial period.. the charity has held successful joint social
events with the local Health and Social Care Parmership and another siiccessful
Christmas lunch, part funded by local authority. The various activities already noted
(Keep Fit etc) have enjoyed increases in numbers attending.
Incorne continucs to bc succ¢55fully supplemented by letting the hall to outside
groups.
Work has gone into alterations to the upper floor and this area will soon be available
for further lets.

The Charity celebrated its 60 anniversary in October 2024 and various events were
arranged.
Financial Review." the new lease with South Ayrshiie Council came into effect at the
end of May, meaning that all maintenance costs are now the responsibility of the
Charity. This imposes a strain on our finances and withnut increases in income the
charity will experience annual losses (see Receipts and Payments).We arc in th¢
for￿nate position of having reserve fijnds to cover losses at least in the short term but
are mindful of the distinct possibility of a comrnunity asset transfer being imposed on
us sorne time in the future, involving unknown cost.
