**What the charity does:** To provide benevolent grants to eligible freemasons based on individual needs and requirements, provide training and educational grants to children of freemasons based on individual needs and requirements and providing grants and donations to the work of external charitable causes with each application being considered on its own merits

**Objectives:** The Benevolent Fund shall consist of £750 invested for behoof thereof, The income shall consist of all interest from investments made and bank accounts opened in behalf of this fund. all receipts as defined in Bye-laws 11 and 37. and any balance payable from General Fund. The income, as far as necessary, shall be applied in benevolence, and at the annual balance, in the event of such sum remaining, £30 shall be carried forward to the credit of the succeeding year’s account, and any surplus over £30 shall be transferred to the Annuity Fund. The Annuity Fund shall consist of £2000 invested for the behoof thereof, all sums payable from the Benevolent Fund, all unappropriated interest from investments, and any special collection and donation made on behalf of this fund... Annuities shall be granted only to those whom the Lodge deem to be dependents of members of deceased members, needy and deserving members, or to needy and deserving dependents of deceased members who have taken a general interest in the affairs of the Lodge. No Annuity shall exceed the sum of £10.
