'the advancement of education','the advancement of citizenship or community development'
The club have organised a range of activities in the year which meet all of the club objectives. Our summer and winter syllabuses contained a mix of agricultural competitions, talks and farm visits along with sports, crafts and business tours. We also held fund raising and social events which included all members along with members of other local clubs. We took part in various competitions at district, region and national level where possible and tried to include as many of our members in all events as possible.
Objectives: The objectives of the club shall be: To further the cultural education and training of young people in order to promote their knowledge of country life, create a fuller realisation of duties and responsibilities of citizenship and to produce a greater interest and efficiency in all it’s branches. To make rural life more attractive to the members of the community by providing social amenities and means of healthy recreation. To co-operate with the colleges of agriculture, education authorities, and any other bodies engaged in agricultural and rural education. To take in cooperation with the Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs (SAYFC) and any other action calculated to further aims of the Young Farmers Movement.
