The Lanark & District Young Farmers Club is an unlncorporated charity. As governed by our
constitutlon. the club provides activities. which further personal development, cultural Èducation
and training of young people to make rural life more attrattlve to the youn8 member5 of the
communlty.

To advance the education and training of young pEople at large in rural i55ues. agriculture, homecrafts
and related subject. To advance the development of active citizens through development off
individuals involvement within their local community and leadership of their Young Farmer Group. In
the interests of social weSfare of young People in rural Scotland provide and promote the provision of
activities for recreation and other leisure time occupatlons which will inprove their conditions of life
and will assist in the development ot their spiritual and mental caF.acities and self-reliance and
individual responsibility.

In order to meet the charities objethves the club carry out a number ol activities, including.. sporting
events (netball, football, volleyball and hjckey to narne a few) and horne craft meeting5 for senior
and junior member5. The club host a number of fundraising events throughout the year to raise
money for ourselves and other charities such as the annual tractor run and sponsored climb up the
Glenshee 6.

I report on the financial statements of the Chartty for the year ended 281FebruaryJ2025 set out on
Pages 7 to S.

The charit￿5 trustees are re5pon5ible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the
term5 of the Charities and Trustee Investment Iscotlandl 2C(15 Act and the Charitie5 Accounts
Ikotlandl Flegulations 2(XJ6. The charitrfs management committee consider that the audit
requirement of Regulation 10111 Idl of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my
responsibility to examine the accounts as ￿qUired under sertion 44111 Icl of the Act and to state
whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basls of IndEpendent oxamlnerfs statement
My exarnination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the tharities Accounts (Scotlandl
Regulations 2006. An examination includes a revlew of the accounting records kept by the charity
and a cornpari50n of the account5 presented with those records. It also includes consideration of
any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanation from the trugtees concerniftg
any such matters. The procedures undertrdken do not provide all the evidence that would be
requlred in an audit and, consequent￿, I do not express an audit opinion on the accounts.
I have carried out such investigations as were necessary to enable me to form an opinion as to
whother proper accounting records adequate for the purpose5 of the Charity have been kept and
the fir)èncial statements of the Charity were in accordance with the accounting record5.
Independent Examiner's ststement
In the course of my examlnation. no matter has come to my attention
l. Whlch gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any materia, respect the requirements-
to keep accounting record5 in accordance with section 44111 la) of the 2C4)5 Act and
Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9
of the 2006 Accounts Regulation5.
