(2024.. £1,641). "fhc decrease in the Surplus is due mainly to a in the investmellt I￿vIl
rcLLi ved i(yeiher with an I￿r￿￿e in expenditure.
The previous year's increase in stLKk market values continued into the current year. Th¢r¢ was a
gain on reali5cd invcstments of £530 (2024.. I(￿5 £858) and the UDrealised investment 8ain at th¢
year4nd wa8 £53.749 (2024: gain £47.652).

Investment policy and performance
Thc Company's assets" are invested in a range of cquities and government srturities. Investment
decision5 are taken on the advice of Rathtx)nes. Th¢ policy is for a medium risk invcstmcnt policy
with the aim of mainthinin8 the capitsl valu¢ of the funds in real ternis and prod￿1n8 an incom¢
that can be used to support thc Ghanthblc obj￿ts.
Given the ￿ntinUIn8 uncerlainty in slobal stock markcts since thc COm￿L￿Ment of the Covid-19
pandemic and other e£onomi¢ and political issue& tl1¢ dircctors ar¢ satisfid with thc perforniancc
of the inv¢sthient portfolio.

The directors are satisfied that the Boatd contain an appmpriatc number of directcys with the

The dircctors continue to seek additional alimentarn however the￿ is accepfartt of the fact thai
the objectives of the Constitution have kn'ume outdated and requirc amendmcnt. The directors
bavc rcviewed the structure of th¢ charity and an application w&$ submiticAI to the Olfic¢ of The
Scottish Cburily Rcgulator (OSCR) i(1 rc-or8anise th¢ Constitution. Approval has ieLeived
