The charity provides equipment and training to around 25 volunteers who are on call at all times to search for and rescue people lost or injured in the mountains of Tayside. This requires a high level of technical skills and equipment to carry out this task safely and efficiently. All funds raised go towards this training and equipment and the maintenance of three bases throughout Tayside.

Objectives: 4. The Organisation's purposes are: 4.1 The saving of lives. 4.2 The advancement of health. and 4.3 The location and relief of people who are lost, injured, missing or otherwise in need of assistance. Note: The term 'Mountain Rescue' includes all land based search and rescue as defined by the Police Service of Scotland.
