We are a Church of Scotland Church, serving the community of Strathaven, Chapelton and Glassford. Strathaven Trinity Parish Church has a Presbyterian form of government and operates under the Unitary Constitution. This means that the Kirk Session has ultimate responsibility for policy and administration. It is chaired by a Moderator, who is the minister. The elders of the church and are chosen from those members of the church whoare considered to have the appropriate gifts and skills. The Minister, together with 24 active elders, comprise the Church Trustees, who are governed by charity legislation.
