The Cburch approves the emphasis of th¢ Declaratory Acts OD the love of God for all huDwiity. the
free offer of salvation to all. the obligation of the Universal church to make known the Gospel
throughout the world, and th¢ r¢nunciation of coercion, per5ecutlQD and intolerance in matters of
religion.
Accordingly. this Church accepts the obligation to wllness to thc truth of the Gospel and to serve men
and women in th¢ nam¢ of Christ with regard to their spiritual and m4tcrial welfare. both at home and
overseas.
2. ReJponglblllile8 of the Con8reg*tlon
As a Congregation of the United Free Church of Scotland the Con8regation is under the jurisdiction
and oversight of the superior courts of the Church i.e. the Presbytery of the West (in which this
congregation resides) and th¢ General Assembly of the Unit¢d Free Church in all matters Pertaining to
its spiritual and tcmpornl {including firthncial) affairs. It secks to exerciqe these obli8ation8 within its
fellowship and to th¢ people in the community of which it is part.
3. Re8ponglbllldes and Appolnthient of Offfte Beare
All rnatte￿ affecting the spirits￿1 well-being and order of the Congregation is eX￿1$¢d by the Kirk
S¢ssion of the Congregatiot). The Kirk Session Consists ol the Minister 8nd ruling elders. named in
Page 2. All tempordl affair4 including f￿an¢c. of the Congregation are administered by the Board of
Managers as named Page 2. The Clwity Tn￿ of the Congregation are also named in Page 2.
Office Bearers to the Board of Managers are elected by the Congregation at the Annual Business
Meeting held in F¢brnary. The MitLiSter of this congregation is appointed by the Presbytery of the
West. Elders are elected in accordance with the Practice and Procedure of the United Free Church of
Scotlan
All offi¢e8 of the Chu￿￿ are open to any member in fidl ¢onmiunion. E8cb Congregation appoints
elders to the Presbytery and to b¢ Commissioners to the GeDernl A&8embly. Pr¢sbyterianxsm means
govemance of the Church by elders.
4. Actlvlty and Achlevements
As we refiect on the past ye￿, we Ca￿ once agaiffj giv¢ thanks to Almighty God for His faithful care
and provision for u5 as a company of His wple. The generou5 liberality of God's people has allowed

us. not oThly to meet the main costs of running the church. but to continue to 5UPPOrt the post of
Family and Cbildrcn'5 Worker and aIso meet the needs of thc widcr Church and worl
The ongoing work. underthe oversight ofJe&sica B¢euoft. ensures the continued links with the schools
in our area. Thmugb the events thai deal with RMPS reqUirem￿ts. run])in8 Scripture Union groups
and our periodic Satsrday afternoon MEGA events. contact with children outivith our own
¢ongr¢galion is maintained. Whi15t we would love to see this become even more fruitful. we ar¢
thankful that the connection continues. COKNECT on a Monday evening for young teenagers, is an
ideal opwjrtunity for th¢ th'scipling of sotne of that age range and the introducing of others to the reality
of Jesus ChrisL
At the other end of the spectrw our Ladie5, Associatio￿ I￿1 well by Pat Robertson and her
committee, provides a meeting plac¢ for women not only within our congregation but 81s0 the wtder
community. The varied program clearly points to Jesu8 Chris¢ aDd the good 8ttendance bears testimony
to the importance of this gathering and also the effective p8Storal care which it undertakes. Thc local
Presbyterial Council is only able to fill￿tion because th¢ membership of the committee 18 drawm from
Park Church.
All our various Fellowship Groups have seen steady numbers aTrJ these gatherings, along with those
who attend ourmidweek church-basal DevotioDals and ourzoomvbased Sarurd8y morning forUiigb¢ly
Prnyer Mee¢ing. point to a con8rc8ation where a majority of its members enga8¢ in some otheractivity
apart from Sunday morning worship. Th¢ ministy of God's Word is ccntral to wh¢n¢ver we meeL The
Minisl¢r. along with other minist￿5 and rnember5 withÉn the congr¢gation, seek in various ways to see
the company of believer5 built up and oth￿5 enabled lo meet with the eternal Word.
Th¢ work of Scripture Union in Ukraine attd Hungary, as well as the work of SU in Lanarkshire, hAve
I been supported. and gifts hav¢ been ￿Ven to othcr missionary partDer5 and other Christian
98¢nci¢s. We continu¢ lo have a speci81 concern forbelievers p¢rs¢cut¢d for the faith elsewhere in the
world through prnyerJ and ￿fts, seek to 8UPPOrt our brotheT8 and sisters in Chri
Once again 8t the beginniDg of D¢cernb￿. we were able to host thc Village Christmas Sch￿1 Concert.
At Christhias itself, we Saw a good number of visitors com¢ amoDgst us at the various events. our
prayer is that with fr¢th insight leader$￿'p, we will be able to d¢v¢lop mor¢ cr¢ative ways of
engaging with our community.
The leadetship of the church has pressed on with thinkingand now advatising for the post of Ministry
AssistanL With th¢ support of our denominatio￿ we trust that the Lord will provide the right person
to work alongside us. the generous gift of £50.(KKI given a few year8 ago will enable us to do that. Our
ntinu¢d en8&g¢ment with th¢ Community group? Grow Uddingston, w&s reco8nis¢d by it nominating
the minister and bis wife to attend the Prin￿$ of Wales Charity Concert held in w￿tM]nster Ab
at the begtnning of tkcember. It is ceTtsinly noticeable that in th¢ community, we are recognised as
being Part of The ￿lI10ge. and our prayer is thot as wc look to the future. our church nwtto,"To Know
Christ and to Make Him Known- will continue to deterniine our lift togdher.

8 of 'The Regulatiot)s', and required to cary out an audit under paragrnph l (c}. an Independent
Examiner bas been appoint¢d in accordance with regulation I l of 'the Re8ula(ion8' to carry Out a
competent examination of the Report and Accounts of the Congregation. The Independent Examiner's
Report for the year to 31° December 2024 is on Page 6.
6. Approval of Congregatlon Report Attd Fln*ntlal Statements
Th¢ Board of Manag￿S and the Kirk Session at their meeting on 21 January 2025 approved the
Congregational Report and Financial Ststements to be presented to the Congregation at the Annual
Business Meeting to be held on 23 Febnwy 2025. The Office Bearels authorised to Sign the Report

('Ihe 2005 Act") and the ChaTities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2(M)6 (as amended) ('tthe 2¢X16
Rcgulations"). The Congregalion's Office Bearers and Twsttts consider that the requirements of
Regulation 9 apply but not those of paragraph 9(4) of th¢ AccounL8 RegulatioJL8.
