## **APPENDIX 1**

## **Achievements and performance**

**Summary of the main achievements** The Dower House is fully open for business with some regular lets and **of the charity during the financial** the occasional one-off lets. **period**

The Dower House Museum and Archives have extended their opening hours with the help of volunteers from The Corstorphine Trust welcoming visitors. There have been a few public events held in the house. The Dower House Café has had a very successful third year of business. This friendly, historical, community orientated café in the heart of Corstorphine has proven to be very popular with local residents and visitors alike. The Corstorphine Astoria Centre is open to an increasing number of regular organised group activities for both adults and children and has a busy weekly programme.

There have been a number of recital evenings and some very successful Silent Film Nights featuring the Ingram Organ. Various other musical evenings have also been enjoyed.

By means of the Corstorphine Benevolent Fund we have continued to contribute financially to good causes in the local area.

Due to increased costs and a lot of essential maintenance The Trust’s funds have been depleted but hopefully a recent increase in our rental charges will go some way to helping offset these costs.

The Wee Shop, continues to be let and is trading as an outlet for Speciality Cakes.

## **Financial review**

**Brief statement of the charity’s policy** The charity maintains reserves in order to ensure that the Heritage **on reserves** Centre and other activities can continue and that liabilities can be met. **Details of any deficit Donated facilities and services (if any)**
