The EQrk S8ssior. members are the elders of the church and are chosen from those members of the church who are considered to have the appropriate gifts and skills. The ministsr, is a member of the lfjrk Session. is elected by th8 congregation and inducted by Presbytery. The Congregational Board is appoinled from within the congregation and members of the congregation are invited to nominate individuals. who are believed to have skills and commitment to contribute to the management affair5 of the church, to become members of th8 board. Board members are the appointed as the Stated Annual Meeting and serve for a period of three years after which tki8y must seek re-election at the next ststed Annual Mgeting. Organlsational Structure The Congregational Board is chaired by the moderator and meets as and when necessary. Certain respOn&bil￿eS are delegated to the finan￿ Committee and the Property Committee as appropriate. As a national thurth. it acknowledges a distinctive call and duty to bring ordinan￿S of religion to the people in every parish of Scotland through territorial ministy. It Co-operates V￿th other Churches in various ecumenical bodies in Scotland and beyond. The principal activty of St. Bride's Churth is to provide a selv1￿ of Public Worship on every SLEnday of the year. together ￿￿th other seasonal diets of vKJrship at Christmas and Easter. There are kn outdoor acttvihes of worship (called 'Conventicles') or9anized at the beginning of July and August A monthly service is heid in the local nursing home. The Church. represented by members and the Minister, participates in Signifi￿nt communtty everrts suth as Rernembran￿ Sunday. the annual Flding of the Marches and others. There.are a number of related organisations: • Th8 Guild. which meets monthly vrith a series of speakers, also organises various events and takes part in other activtlies organised by the Dumfries Presbyterial Council ofthe Guild. .St. Bride's B0￿Ing Club meets wee￿Y and provides a than￿ for men of the ngregation and communty to join in fellowship. From time to time. social events are organised. A quarterly newsletter is produ￿1 and distributed to members of the congregation and is made available to the public.

The lfjrk Session has under ujntrol funds designated for the poor of the parish. and for Sunday School outings within the parish. Achievements and Perforniance Attendance at Moming Worship continues in the regton of 50 members. with special services raising that number considerably. Attendan￿ at the quartety Communion Service continues to be satisfactory. The celebration of Holy Communion held in a local sheltered housin9 complex, continuess to be app￿ated vrith up to 12 eldedy people attending. During Holy Week. we co-operated tith the Congregational Churth to provid8 servic8s of worship. Our annual Conventicle (open air serm￿) and Church picnic was again held at he beginning of July and the lQrkbrtde Preaching, a similar event held in asSo￿ation wtlh Durisd88r Church, continues to be held on the first Sunday in Au9USt. This.year'St Bride's continued to host the lQrktng of the Comet seN1￿. The Comet- elect with his Lass and Ensiqn and many supporters were qiv8n a wam wel￿me. The usual Remembrance Day Serwicces were hekl at the War Memorial at Sanquhar and Mennock. Following the Sanquahr tsremony and the Silence: the British Legion, unifornied youth organisations marched to the Church led by the Sanquhar Silver Band. A large congregation was led in worship by the Minister and a r8pfysentattve from the10121 Congregational ￿urCh. All Christmas Servi￿ were well attended by people from the community. The eady evening Christmas servi￿ vrds very well attended by adults and children. with th e Primary School Choir perfomiing some Christmas songs. The midnight candlelight service continues to be popular with the communty. On Christmas Day people were welcom@d for Min￿ pies followed by worship. We continue to offer a short monthly Family servi￿ whith is followed by a chance for fellowship and refreshments and is attended by a small number of children. Pupils and staff from both schools attended Christrnas School servI￿s in Church. The St. Bride's B0￿Ing Club has a membership of 15. meeting weekty for a round of soaal activities. The St Brlde's Badmington Club Lx)ntinues to be SUC(￿1 in attracling a goLKI number of players of all ages. Our Guild.ha5 12 members. induding some from other thurthes. and meetings are held once a month in Ihe afternoon. The guild also organise5 an annual Daffodil Tea to raise funds. The Autumn Fayre is organised by the Congregational Board to raise funds and provides an ex￿lIent Opportunity for people to meet.

The congregation of St Bride's continues to support an orphanage for A]DS orphans and others in Matats818. South Africa and we re￿]Ve regular updates. A special, designal&J co118Ction is taken each year at the Harvest Thanksgiving for this ￿USe. Flnancial Review The Church had a surplus of £4,440 for Ihe yBar. It also holds some funds designated for Fabrf Statement of Trustees. Responslbllltles The members of the Kirk Session I Congregational Board must prepare finanGial statements which give surricient detail to enable an appreciation of the transactions of the Church during th8 finanual year. The members of the Kirk Session I Congregational Board are responsible for k8eping proper accounting records which, on request, must reflect the finanual pjsition of the Church at that time. This must be done to ensure that the financial statements ￿MPty the Chartties and Trustee Investment (Scotlandl Act 2005, the Charities Accounts (Scodand) Regulaknons 2Q06 and the regulations Anent Congregatiorral Finance approved by the Generat Assembly of the Church of s￿tland 2007. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the church and must take reasonable steps for Ihe prevention andl or detectlon of fraud and other irregulariti85. St Bride's Chvrch Tru5tee¥ knnual Report Y&arEr¥J8d 31s1 December2￿4 Independent Examiners Report I report on the accounts of the Charity for the year ended 31 December 2024 which are set out on pages 7 to 12 Respectlve responsibilities of trustees and examiner The charity trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordan with the temis of Charities and Trustees Investment ISc4Jtland) Act 2005 and ihe Charities Accounts (Scotlandl Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement regulation 1011 }(d} of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 4411 Ilcl of the Act and lo state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basls of Independent examlnors statsment My Examination is carried out in accordan￿ with regulab'on 11 of the charities Accounls (Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounling records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes o)nsideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seek5 explanalions from the Irustees concerning and such matters. The prO￿dureS undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accoun15.
