with an opportunitytot16 a ribbon around a'tree, inthe Church in remembran¢e
Chri8tingie Service held in th8 afternoon on Chrlstmas Eve lj-ointly wSth
Christchurch) which was primarily foryoung children and involves building a
Christingle and atellingof the Christm88 8torywith prop8 and puppet. M8ny
children attended this Service. Thi8 18 likely to be an annual s8rvic8.
The r8turn of the Watchnight Servlce at 11.30pm on Christmas Eve which 18 very
well 8ttended bythosewho do not usuaiiyattend Church.
Posters were dlspiayed In shop windows along Duke Street In Huntly leading to
the Church. When scanned. the QR code8 told part8 of the Chri8tma8 story.
There are monthly8erylces Inthe two Huntlyc8re home8. The Minist8r Is supported by
church membersfrom both Strathbogie Dwmbiad6 and HuntLyCairnie Gla$stO swell

Pastoral care is admSnistered by the Minister and Elders which includès the Ministy of
Flowers involvingflowers beingtsken to those who are ill. bereaved. housebound or
commemoratinga signiflcant personal anniversary.

Huntiytook p18ce at Strathbogie Dwmblade in 2025. The Church 81so t8kes part in
Sundays such as Christi8nAid Sundayand F2irTr8de Sundayand reguiarlyretiects on
issues of justice, peace and climate chan￿.
The Guild meets in the aftemoon of every second Monday of the month from September
to Aprilwith over30 attendingand includingmembers of other denominations plus
members of the communlty. Our branch supports nationalGuild project and has a
twinnlng with another Guild branch in Elgln.

Structure. Governance and Management
Governing Document
Since May 2018. the church has been administered in accordance with Unitary
Constitution of the Church of Scotland.
Recrultment and Appolntment of TruBte89
The Kirk Sèssion functions as the Board of Tnjstees compri8ing the eldets of tha church
chosenfromthose wh08r8 con8ideredto have the appropriate commitment. gifts and
skills. Th8 mlnlstèr. who is a m6mber of the Kirk Session is elected by the congregation
and inducted bythe Presbytery. The Kirksession, was, during2025 augmented bythe
ordination and re-admittance of five new Elders.
Organl8atlonal Structure
The Kirk Session meets nine times g ye8r or as required. Under the Unltary
Constltution, the Kirk Session has responsibikn'ty for the oversight and management of
the SpiritU818nd Temporal affairs of the congregatlon.

throughoutthe world. As a National Church, it acknowledges a distinctive calland duty
to bringthe ordinances of relig(on to the people In evèry parlsh of Scotland through 8
territori81 mini8try. It co-operat8S Wlth other Churches in various ecum8nic8l bodles In
Scotland and beyond. Strathbogia DrumbLade congregation h88 ties with Huntly
C8imle Gla$8 IChur¢h of Scotlandl and Insch P8ri8h Church of Scotland. It also has
ecumenicaliinks with St M8rgaret's Roman Catholic Church 8nd Christchurch Scottlsh
Episcop81 Church congregations. The Minister also takes part in the newly founded
Ministers Meetingwhlch Include$ all Mlnlsters. Priests 8nd Pastors in the Huntly area.
Morningworship is hold on 8 Sunday morningat 10.30am. At present. thara 8rè no
designated children or teenage learning groups but the services include an 811-age
reflection aimed ai ouryounger attenders who are presentwith their families. Our
monthlycommunion is offered on the first Sundayofthe month. We continueto off8r
the Sacrament of Holycommunion in Mayand Novemberwith around 90-100
attending.

DuringAdvent we had o joint (with Christchurch) Bible study8nd it is planned to have 8
similar study during LenL
Both the LocaLprimaryschool and the second8ryschoolcttose to have Church Input
during Christmas 2025. The Ministerwelcomed the prlmaryschool tothe Church which
W8s verywell attended bypupits and theirfamilies. The secondary school servicewas
at the School rather than the Church due to logistiC81 difficulties. The Ministerworked
with staff and pupils in both Schools to enable the $8rvicgs to be jointly devised and led
by pupils.
Volunt68rChurch members 8re involved in the maintenance ofchurch property and
grounds including th8 g8rden and the cleaning of the inside ot the building. There are
plans for the installation of 8 new 8udio-visu81 system. WIFI and ￿"vestreaM equipment
to be Installed in thé Church duringApriUMay 2026.
Durlng 2025 two highly regarded memb8fd of ourteam st¢Jod down from their posts.
OurTr8asuror resigned aftor m8nyye8r8 8enrice 8nd 80 did ourchureh Officerafter over
40y8ars' service. We er6vBryth8nkfulth8t8 newTreasurer has stepped into the post.
The Chur¢h Officer dutie8 have been distributed betsveen members of the congreg8tlon.

After a long vacancy and following a sèlection proc888. a new Minister was nomln8ted
bythe congregation and started her po8t8tthe beginning ofApri12025. Otherth8n the

regarding special seNices has also been produced and distributed around the
town. The Mlnisterhas also recently been appointed tosit on the Communtty
Council.
Th8 Vestry at the back of the Church whlch had been primartly used by the
Mlnister has been r&purposed as a comfortable, cozy Space with soft
furnishings. This can now bo used by families who wish to U88 It prior to funeral
services. It can also be used as an office by the Mlni8ter
Five new Elders have been ordained or re-admitted to the Klrk S8sslon.
