Our Mission Is to support young people to achieve their full potential. Our Vision Is a country which values community-based youth work and its positive impact on young people’s lives. Our Pillars As a national youth work organisation, Youth Scotland’s work is expansive and varied, but much of what we do can be put in four key areas of community-based youth work that we call our 4 Pillars: 1. Membership: supporting our member youth groups 2. Programmes: youth leadership and national programmes 3. Training: training volunteers and youth workers 4. Youth awards: accredited youth awards

Objectives: The Charity's objects are to assist young people in Scotland to be confident, resilient and ready to reach their full potential. the Charity will aim to achieve this by supporting a network of youth groups and delivering services which help young people to learn, succeed and make positive contributions to their communities. In particular the Charity aims: 7.1 to encourage young people in Scotland aged from 5-25 years of age to find new interests, to form positive relationships with other people, and to contribute to developments in their own and the wider community. 7.2 to encourage young people in Scotland to organise and conduct activities for themselves, thus learning to aspire and achieve, accept and handle responsibility. 7.3 to provide training and other support for volunteers and paid workers who support the development of young people. 7.4 to encourage the involvement of young people in Scotland in a range of projects (delivered in Scotland or elsewhere) which contribute to their development and their local communities. 7.5 to support a thriving network of diverse organisations that use a youth work approach
