Paragraph II of the constitution, the objects clause, sets out the charitable objects of the society, which might be described as the advancement of the understanding, promotion, safeguarding, and adomment of Dunblane Cathedral, the archaeology, craftsmanship and arts intrinsic, and environs. The objects clause is reproduced in full in the annual Journal. The Trustees are grateful for Legacies to help with these purposes.

The society owns, insures and maintainsa listed property to the south ofDunblane Cathedral; Dunblane Museum, a charity, is atenant, the rest of the space being let, all to gain income. The substantial cost of limewashing the property will be required in 2026. The society publishes an annual Journal which, among other items, contains articles about the history and decoration of the Cathedral and surroundings. Volunteers from the society, during the summer, provide tours of the Cathedral, and separately, the graveyard,

The society has worked with Historic Environment Scotland to create an information board highlighting the society's contributions to the Cathedral building. In cooperation with Dunblane Museum, it is collating material about the society held in the Museum and elsewhere with a view to creating an archive of the society and research commissioned by it.

After much research by volunteers, the society published a booklet on “The Saving ofKirk Street” and this led to an exhibition in the Museum on the subject. Also achieved was a booklet on the graveyard, a booklet on the stained glass windows of the Cathedral, and a more substantial book about them. All are available for purchase. The society has refurbished the millennium garden instituted 25 years ago, and is refurbishing the Cathedral noticeboard at the entrance.
