It an Independent body was approved by the Presbytery of Perth In 1855. The successlve
8eneratlons of elders In the Kirk Sesslon have adminIste￿d the affair5 of the congregatlon and the
Church wlthout fault. Records and flnanclal stst*ments have been annually Inspected and attested
bythe hlgher ¢tsurts of the Church. All affalrs have been found In good order other than mlnor
errors In records. The Klrk Sesslon In Its role as a Trustee body met monthly except for the summer
months. The practlce of the Klrk Sesslon Contlnues to be prudent and responsible, as it has been In
the past, woth all accounts and other records being kept Immaculatelyi accurately and up to date.
Durln8 2024, one Baptlsms was conducted. No Wtddin8s were tt*nducted durfng the year. There
were 2 funerals In respect of Members. The deuease In membership was accounted for by dèath
nd 2 m$mber$ lezvln8. Services were held every Suftday and on selertlve ￿lIgIouS fe5tlva15. Durlng
the summer months joint servlces were held with BLackfornl Parlsh Church. our Ilnked congre8atlon,
Addluonally, hyoloint famify servlces were held one In May and one in October. A Broadband line
was Instslled In 2020to Improve connectivity. The Churth Servlces are broadcasf live and a
recordin8 Posted on the Church Webstte.

The Youth Team continued fts work wlth young people by way of th￿t maln a¢tlvltles,
namely the Hot Chocolate Cl¥Jb, Forrest Mission and the Holidoy Club. The Mlnlster serves as
chaplaln to 8ra¢o PrSmary Schts)I worklng tt in the area of moral and rell8lous
educatlon. The Klrk Sesslon also 8lves a Blble to everythild entering the school each year.
The Mlnlster ¢ondu¢ts erbd ofterm 5ervlces for Braco Prfmary School in the Church.
Attendees at school servi¢e5 not only Indude puplls andteathers buta150 parents and
others from the local communltles.
On the financlal front Ftsnd Ra151n8 events and actNitles continuè to make an Important
contributlon to our Income whllst at the same tlme brln81rt8 In young people and adults from
the surroundin8 communltles. Glvings of all klnds remain our main source of Sn¢orne. These
are made through the Open Plate, Oftline Transfers via Bank Card Machlne, 8ankers Orders
and a fund ralsln8 slte. Each year atthe Annual Congie8ational meetln8 an appeal is made
to mlew personal 8lvln8S.

during the year. Consideration is 8ivènto four types of charity namely," large natlonal
organisations and local charrttes which are supporred on a ￿E￿lar basis. appeals froTn
smallercharities. those with which members of the congregation are directly invofved and
those associated with the Church of Scotland Guild actrvttie& Donations from Church funds
were made to Christlan Aid. Special collettions diSbU￿d are listed in the notesto the
Accounts.
The Ardoch Churth Guikl made donatFons to the Guild's National Projects.
The Blythswood Appeal for5hoe boxesfilled with Item5 for children and adults in needy
circurnstances in Eastern Europe and beyond ss rèsponded to annually. Braco Primary
school is also Envol￿d in the collÈction.
The Churth co-operates wtth the loe31 branth of the Royal British Legion. of which the
Minister is Chaplaln. In accordance with Chufth of Scotland in5tructiotis for 2024 the
Remembrance Day Services in the Church and at the Braco War Memorfal were held. The
Churth actively supportsthe Earl Halg Fund by way of the annual appeal conducted by
Poppy Scotland.
For a congregation of its slze, Ardoch generates z considerable amount for outside causes.

Investment and Re5eryes Pollcy
Investments are principally Medium/High Risk in n3ture and in accordance with legislation
80verning Investments rnade by Charities. A significant proportson of the portfolio is ITkelyto

than fixed interest stocks. Investmeftts whith, in isolatlon, might seem Higher Risk may be
acceptsble when considering the portfolio as z whole. Investments are not made in

Investment Income is expected to provide a balanced retum income and growth. The level
of income Is expected to increase at least in line with iTffl8tion over the medium temi.
Investments ari%ng from legaues or endowments are maintained at a level to provide
Incorne to meet the purpose for whlch theywere designated or endowed. Legades are
capitalised in memory of the benefactor. Investments are maintsined to provlde income to
meet any shortfall between ordrnary Income and expenditu￿. Additionally, investments are
held against designated funds to meet luture major bulldo￿ repairs and
imprOve￿ents1eXlenS1OnS to the buildin8s as set down in the five year plan.
Reservesfor Designated Funds are held in investments and èrè Currently set at the followin8

Monies are held on deposit to provide for unforeseen corrtingencies of whatever nature.
Sufficient monies are held in the bank current account at the year end to meet budgeted

Ourstockbrokers and Investment advlsers. Rathbones, contlnue to provlde regular reports
and advice on the Inve5tment& Durfng the year a ￿VIeW of Our Investments was undertaken
with our Stockbrokers and a nLKnberof sales and purchases were made to Improve the
holdings. In addrtlon to the investments held through ourstockbroker there are holdin8s In
the Church of Scoiland Investors Trust Income Fund. The value of investments amounted to
£304592 The value of the investments at the year end. was £2719 more than that at 3tst
December 2023.

of Ardoch Parish Church, to manage the flnances of the church competently, protert the

nnually at the point of budget preparation.
Annual Accounts: The accounts are prepared on a recelpts and payments b8sls and are
presented In the format requlred by the Chur¢h of Scotland. The Klrk Sesslon appoints a
¢ompetent Independent External Examinerannually to examlne the accounts as requlred
under the OSCR re8ulations for a desi8nated Reli8lous Charlty. The Aecounts are
subsequentty Inspected by Perth Presby*ry and an Attestatlon Report returned to the Klrk
S•ssJon.
FSnan¢lal Reports.. The accumulated recelptslpayments to date are presented by the
treasurerto the monthly meetings of the Klrk Sesslon. These monthly reports include the
precedin8 yearf5 incomelexpenditure to pemitany deviation to be Investl83ted. The

Cash Control..
l. General.. The use of cash 15 discouraged. Payments in cash made to Indivlduals orcash
reotved from indfviduals is recorded in a cash book. All paymentslrecelpts musi be
adequately vouched. Ardoch Chunth operatss a system of Management Teams some of
which may on oc¢a5ion receive cash. Thls cash must be passed to the treasurer without
deductin8 any èxpenses and any requests for payment must be accompanled by
appropriate d¢xumentstion.

with the contractor. In the case of major contracts a ctsntrart document must ￿ obtalned

make the payment provlded the amount to be paid15 In agreement with the origlnal
