The charity is set up for the physical and mental well-being, and to provide recreational, sporting and social facilities, for villagers, old and new. We hire out our Main Function Hall and Lounge to members for a number of events: parties/anniversaries/keep fit classes/ line dancing classes/kids dancing classes/pilates and excerise for over 60s. The members also hold Country & Western Nights and Spiritualist Church events. We offer, through our Community Hub sub section, set 'blether afternoons', mainly used by the elderly and the Hub have just started a 'Community Family Night' where parents can come along with their children and socialise with other villagers in a friendly setting. Sporting wise we have a Bowling Club (lawn bowls) and have facilities for darts, pool dominoes and new age curling. All of these are available for all. Most of the above is under the scope of the Management Committee apart from the Bowling Club, which has it's own Committee.
