**Purposes:** 3.1. The Objects are specifically restricted to the following:  (a) to promote the Eastern Orthodox Christian Faith as held and expressed in the holy scriptures, holy tradition, and the canons, under the Episcopal care of the ROCOR; and in this regard being organised and established, to promote the teaching and practice of the Orthodox Christian Faith, to care pastorally for the Orthodox Christian community in Belfast in particular and Northern Ireland in general, to facilitate liturgical worship, receiving into the Church those who sincerely wish to freely adopt and live according to the Church's moral and spiritual guidance, upholding these purposes and any related charitable purpose.  Nothing in the Constitution will authorise an application of the property of the Charity for purposes which are not exclusively charitable in accordance with any statutory provision regarding the meaning of the word “charitable”, or the words “charitable  purposes”, in force in any part of the United Kingdom and/or Republic of Ireland and/or the European Union or elsewhere.
