Activities
Through the revival and development of Coastal Rowing, the objectives of the Club are to promote community participation in healthy recreation by the provision of facilities for rowing on an amateur basis. Our ethos is to improve health and well-being and provide intergenerational sporting and social opportunities. The Club is established to pursue the following aims: (a) Participation in the sport of Coastal Rowing both competitively and socially. (b) Membership of appropriate organisations for the purpose of establishing regular competitive engagement for the club’s members. (c) Link Ups with similarly minded clubs and organisations to promote and advance the objectives of this club and its Members. (d) The provision of training and practice facilities for its members. (e) Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of technical competence and safety in the field of Coastal Rowing. (f) Upholding the rules of the Coastal Rowing. (g) Providing equal opportunities for participation in the sport of Coastal Rowing by all sections of the community. (h) The promotion of the sport in Cushendall/Ballyeamon, Waterfoot/Glenariffe, the wider Glens area and beyond. (i) Contribute within the area to community development, health & wellbeing, outdoor recreation, marine conservation and cultural heritage.
