Activities
The charity’s purposes (‘the purposes’) are: 1. To provide the relief of those in need by reason of youth, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantages. 2. For the public benefit, the relief and assistance of children, teenagers and young adults with a diagnosis or awaiting diagnosis of ASD in the Mid and East Antrim electoral area, including but not exclusively, children, teenagers and young adults, their siblings and their families. 3. To provide activities and events where young people with or awaiting diagnosis of ASD can develop special skills, friendships and engage in structured activities. 4. To promote and support mental wellbeing of autistic children, teenagers and young adults, and their families through providing support, training and signposting to mental health resources. 5. To use arts and crafts as a tool to build confidence, self expression and social engagement among children, teenagers and young adults with or awaiting an ASD diagnosis. 6. To advocate for users of our charity, raise awareness of the skills and abilities of our young people and participate in local forums to provide input on services and support within the area.
