In particular, the group is established to promote the welfare of the inhabitants of the Westland Estate and its immediate environs without distinction as to age, sex, race, political, religious, sectarian, or other opinions, by associating with the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations, institutions, businesses and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities for recreation and leisure time activities.  And to promote objects which now or hereafter may be deemed by law to be charitable, for the benefit of the community.
