Activities

The charity’s objects (‘Objects’) are specifically restricted to the following: (1) The Advancement and furtherance of the Christian religion in accordance with the statements of faith of the charity, overseen by the charity, through the teaching of the Word of God. This purpose falls within the Advancement of Religion category and benefits all peoples/ participant regardless of race, age or gender. The expected outcome will be that those participants will gain a greater understanding of the Bible and the teachings therein, allowing them to make informed moral and lifestyle decisions and become active members of society. This can be measured by both the number of participants engaged in this teaching and how participants respond to those teachings and choose to follow the Christian Religion. The charity aims to create an open environment where persons of any background and belief system my come and benefit from the teachings of the Christian Religion. However, whilst no harm is expected through the promotion of the Christian Religion, participants may find themselves challenged by it and therefore may be offended. This offence is limited by the considerate presentation of the Christian Religion, active discussion and allowing participants the right to refuse to listen. There is no private benefit associated with this purpose, although the organisation may benefit from an increase in numbers. (2) The furtherance and advancement of the work of the charity, the promotion of religious observances and activities, such as prayer and worship and spiritual teaching and guidance in accordance with the statements of faith of the charity, overseen by the charity. This purpose falls within the Advancement of Religion category and benefits all peoples/ participants regardless of race, age or gender. The expected outcome will be that opportunities to engage with Christian activities and practices will be maintained, for example, prayer, teaching, acts of worship in accordance with the statements of faith provided by the charity. Furthermore, opportunities to receive teaching/ training in accordance with the statements of faith of the charity, overseen by the charity This benefit can be measured in terms of opportunities to undertake training/ teaching and participate in various Christian activities and by the numbers in attendance of those events. It is not expected that any of these activities will result in any harm as attendance of these events are voluntary. There is no private benefit associated with this purpose, although the organisation may benefit from an increase in numbers and the maintenance/ promotion of its beliefs. (3) Such other charitable purposes as shall further the attainment of the above objects of the charity. This purpose allows the organisation to engage in any activity that is recognised as charitable by the Charities Acts (Northern Ireland) 2008 where such activities can be shown to attain the advancement of the Christian Religion in accordance with the statements of faith of the charity, overseen by the charity. For the avoidance of doubt, the system of law governing the articles of association of the charity is the law of Northern Ireland.
