**Purposes:** The purposes of the band are: (1) To provide a suitable safe place for brass players to meet and practice regardless of their age, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, race, political opinion, those with dependants and those without, disability or religion.  The band shall be an equal opportunities organisation. (2) To achieve high standards and performances which the band, individual players and the public can appreciate. (3) To foster good relations with other brass bands and musical groups in Northern Ireland. (4) To educate the public in brass band music by performing in concerts, contests and other public engagements.
