Armoy Primary School Parent Teacher Association
Annual Report 2024 – 2025
Chairperson’s Report
I’m pleased to confirm that once again, we have had a great year as a PTA with lots of fun events and successful fundraising.
My role as chairperson is made very easy thanks to the dedicated PTA committee. I am very grateful for them – they always go over and beyond in creating fundraising ideas and fun events for the children of Armoy Primary School, nothing is ever a problem and the willingness to help is unwavering. I would also like to thank parents who have volunteered their time to help at events organised.
Thank you must go to Mrs Steele and all the staff at Armoy Primary School who are always so supportive of activities and events that have been planned, often events mean a disruption to their time in school and they willingly give up their personal time to help which I think shows a real care and commitment to the school and the pupils they have in their care.
Thank-you to all the Armoy Primary School families for supporting all the activities and fundraising initiatives that we embark on each year – your support is really appreciated and really does help in giving our children the best opportunities.
PTA is always welcoming of new members, if you would like to get involved in any way, please let myself or one of the committee members know.

Our Year at a glance
October
Halloween Party
Our PTA events kicked off with our Halloween party, pupils enjoyed getting dressed up in their spooky costumes and playing lots of Halloween themed games. The hall was decorated by members of the PTA with some lovely sweet treats for the kids also being donated by PTA members. This was a free event for our pupils.
Pumpkin patch and big breakfast
A fabulous event which was well supported and enjoyed by our school community. The children received a enchanted potion before going around the trail with the magical wizard solving clues to find the pumpkins which the naughty trolls stole. Parents and children then got to enjoy a lovely breakfast bap. As a sweet treat children then got to make chocolate apple slices.
November
Open Night
Our PTA members gave up their free time to serve tea and coffee to potential new parents at the school open night.
December
Christmas Experience
A hugely successful event which was enjoyed by lots of our families and the wider local community. Children got to visit with Santa, with each receiving a gift. They got a polaroid photo with Santa and were then able to move to the craft room to personally decorate their own photo frame for their special picture. Mrs Claus read the children a magical Christmas story by the fire followed by an opportunity to make some sparkly reindeer food or watch a Christmas movie. Once they had completed all the indoor activities the children then got to meet some special farm animals who came to visit them at school. Parents enjoyed getting together to have a chat over a cup of tea or coffee with a mince pie or some shortbread while the children had some hot chocolate or juice and cookies. We ended the evening with a colour hamper raffle.
Fireside Quiz
One of our very clever PTA members created a tricky fireside quiz for parents to complete while sitting in on the darker evenings.
February
Prom
An ever-popular event was our annual prom. It is always lovely to see the effort the children put in to get dressed up in their favourite outfits. Once again, the PTA pulled out all the stops, from a red carpet reception, balloon arch, games, tuck bags, chocolate fountain and lots of dancing it’s fair to say this was a very successful and fun evening for everyone.
March
Smartie Challenge
Every child in the school was gifted a tube of smarties to enjoy the sweet treat, they were then asked to fill the empty tube with coins to return to school after the easter holidays.
April
Crazy Hair Day
The effort the children put into this was spectacular, the creativity was shinning throughout the school with all the different hairstyles.
Easter Egg Hunt
Our children enjoyed a visit from the easter bunny who had very carefully hidden eggs for them to find in the school grounds. The PTA also donated an easter egg for each child to take home and enjoy.
Asda Cash Pot
April concluded our Asda cash pot which raised £144.10
