| community. |

Achievements and performance
| The club raised a total of £8,868, excluding membership dues, in the year to 30 June 2024 and | donated £9,424 to charities leaving a closing bank balance of £3,205. The club has a policy of | distributing funds as needed by the local charities but at the same time keeping a small reserve | for any emergency requests made to Newcastle Lions Club. We have maintained the 10 | defibrillators so that they are ready for use by the public. During the year we collected over | 12,000 pairs of spectacles for distribution to poorer people in various parts of the world.
