**Purposes:** The purposes of the charity are: A non-profit making group to provide education and support to the carers, families and friends of those living with a learning disability in the Portadown borough and surrounding areas, with the object of improving the conditions of life and promoting well-being for the beneficiaries by all or any of the following charitable means: - Arrange social and educational events. - Create links with the medical profession and other support groups. - Raise awareness of the role of carers in the community. - Promote Carers Unite to increase membership in the local community and surrounding areas.
