## Activities

**Purposes:** The Charity’s objects (“Objects”) are specifically restricted to the following:-  (1)	To promote adult education, particularly in the fields of labour and community education, through the direct provision of courses, training, supplementary education and other activities for the benefit of the Northern Ireland community.  (2)	To relieve poverty and provide for the needs of working class people and of those who are socially, economically or educationally disadvantaged and to develop the capacity and skills of the members of socially and economically disadvantaged communities in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and enable improvement in their levels of social, economic and cultural engagement and general health and well-being.   (3)	Providing educational programmes for appropriate organisations concerned with the collective educational needs in the community and in the workplace.  (4)	Generally furthering the advancement of education to the end that all people may have full access to the education needed for their complete individual and social development.  (5)	Providing an accessible library with content specific but not limited to the labour movement in Northern Ireland, Ireland, Britain and globally.
